JOIN IN THE FUN OF EGG HUNT ‘21
North Country Local is back with another egg-citing contest! Take part in Egg Hunt ’21, an interactive, regional sweepstakes partnering with over 35 local businesses! In the spirit of spring on its way, we wanted to give you a fun way to get out and explore. Grab a friend (and a mask), take in the fresh air, and join in the fun of Egg Hunt ’21!
Here are some tips and tricks to make the best of the contest, and hunt like a pro.
Make a Plan Before Your Trip
To be sure of where you’re going, check out the full Participating Business List at northcountrylocal.com/contest/egghunt/. Then, at the top of the list, click the dropdown next to “Sort by town” and pick the town that’s closest to you, or where you plan to do your hunting.
Take a tour and hit up each town throughout the day/weekend or pick a couple days to hunt and do a town per day.
Go with a friend, partner or family member and make it a fun outing! Get the kids involved for an extra set of eyes on the prize! Just make sure each person who enters the online form is over 18.
Plan to hunt during business hours, as you’ll need to be inside the locations to hunt. If you’re not sure when those are, click on the website next to a business or click on the phone number to call directly for hours of operation.
Out and About
Forgot your plans at home? No worries! Access the Participating Business List on mobile, or window shop until you find a business with the “Egg Hunt ’21 Participating Business” sticker!
Can’t find a business but you’re sure they’re on the list? Head back to the full Participating Business List and click on the address! It will bring you directly to that location on Google Maps.
Head inside – unlike the Holiday Hunt, the piece that must be in your entry photo is actually hidden inside each location! So, step in, take a peek at awesome local products, and find the hidden egg poster.
We’ve given participating businesses free range to hide the egg in different spots around their store, and if they want, to hide “fake” posters to fool you! There is only ONE official logo poster per store, and employees should let you know if they do this.
There are five color versions of the egg poster, so the color you find in one store may not be the same as in the next. Plus, a business may print out a black and white version, so keep your eyes peeled!
If you have any questions, the front desk has cards with more info, a QR code to access the entry form, and a list of participating businesses you can take with you and cross off as you go. These are limited, so start your hunt soon if you want to snag one!
Take your selfies and upload as you go or wait until you’re done hunting and upload all at once (as long as you remember where you took each picture!)
Stumped? Hop onto social media and search the #NCLEggHunt21 tag, or go to a participating business’s Facebook page and comment on a post asking for a hint. They just might give you an egg-cellent answer!
