How does NCL work?

Every month we feature different local businesses with various contests on our page. Each contests goes live at 8:30am and features a single business with a giveaway of a $50 gift certificate towards goods or services. We try to run a single contest every day, but at times this fluctuates. The daily posts are professionally built by our design team.  Posts include contact info, links to the business websites and/or pages and include a images of business and the services and products offered.

Each post asks Facebook fans to answer a simple question to be entered into the daily drawing. We also encourage fans and followers to share with their friends to spread the message about the contest and the business featured. Each contest runs for about a week and the winner is notified by Facebook of their prize. With a combination of shares, and our built in audience of followers, businesses reach a local audience of 10,000 people, on average.

We are now expanding our reach to Instagram and have begun to build IG specific content to attract a new audience for our business members.

What do Businesses get?

Every month that your business is a member you will receive:

• Exposure to a new audience of 15-20,000 men and women that have chosen to join us in support of our local businesses and communities.  This open you up to a whole new group that may not know about you.
• A link in the post to your Facebook page and/or website to drive traffic.
• Expertly curated images of your business, products, or services to provide visual appeal.
• Focused description of your business, with details on where to find you, along with mention of any sales or promotions you’d like to offer.
• A Free Job listing on our Online Job Board.
• A listing on our searchable business directory, along with being featured in the North Country Local Newsletter.

You also become part of the community of businesses that work together to create a network of support. We are working to bring new opportunities for business owners to connect  through upcoming “member only” NCL-Networking events.

What do the Followers and Fans get?

Every month our North Country Local followers have access to:

• Free access to featured and new business with a chance to win a $50 gift certificate in products of services.
• A vibrant and active Facebook community with unique seasonal contests, local business information, and community resources.
• A website with featured blog entries, winners list, local event information and more
• A featured newsletter with additional savings opportunities and special e-mail only contests, sales and events.

In addition, the website will soon be adding feature sections for our North Country followers. Sections such as business highlights, featured videos, winners circles, special NCL Savings opportunities and more. And, though the Facebook page tries to mention local nonprofit, charity, or arts-related community events, there is a list of local charities and nonprofits on our page already encouraging followers to give back.

What is the cost?

Active members receive a professionally designed and fully managed giveaway post each month on North Country Local’s Facebook and Instagram pages. In addition, North Country Local will relist any events for your organization that you tag us in. Be sure to utilize North Country Local as a platform to broadcast your message to thousands of people, affordably and effectively. Member businesses are encouraged to share products, promotions, events, sales, anniversaries, and classes with us.
