Let’s Get Cooking!

Welcome back friends. It’s summertime here at North Country Local and it is time to Cook up some fun!  This season we have put our creative noggins to work on a fun hunt around all our wonderful local Farmers Markets.

We’re kicking off our first ever Recipe Roundup. This summer scavenger hunt will have you searching for different ingredients available at your local farm stands & farmers markets anywhere in the world. Find the ingredients and earn points towards the recipes!  It’s super easy and a lot of fun… keep reading to hear how it works:

How to play

The Recipe Roundup is a scavenger hunt where you look for different ingredients for a recipe. We have multiple recipe roundup cards available for download at the bottom of this page.

1. Select a Recipe Ingredient Card, and look for any 3 ingredients on the card at your local farmers market or stand.
2. Snap a photo of each of the three of the ingredients you have chosen.
3. Once you have the photo on your phone, upload the image to our site, tell us who you are, and where you snapped the picture.
4. After you correctly upload 3 ingredients for a recipe, you get your own copy of the full recipe. It’s that easy!

Now, here is the really cool part… Participants that are logged in users, will earn NCL Points and special badges for participating in our games. For each recipe ingredient, you will earn 300 points. You can use those points on our Points Store to access cool member-only items like free shirts, discounted items, and for the Recipe Roundup, the Recipes themselves!

Now get out there and have a look at your local markets and farmstands, and start uploading those images today. Earn points, get cool prizes and remember, cook up something tasty this summer courtesy of the North Country Local Recipe Roundup!
