2022 in Review

What a wonderful year!   Over the last 12 months our team here at North Country Local have embarked on many projects to make NCL bigger and better than ever.  Working together with our counterparts at Phlume MEDIA we are able to bring a whole new layer of advanced functionality to our website, contests and Social Media Pages.  We are thrilled to see all of our partners thriving, and we want to bring the same success to even more small businesses in the area!

The 3rd Annual Holiday Hunt

This year’s hunt ran from November 18th to December 18th and was so fun, and fascinating to create for everyone.  This is the second year that we have hosted a variety of interactive experiences of the hunt on our website.  Did you know that all of the programming and development was done right here, by our awesome team?  The contest included an online portal where contestants could collect points and even build a virtual gingerbread house.

By the close of the contest we had OVER 400 entries.  Every single business that partnered for the hunt had visits and selfies snapped at their locations.  That is 54 businesses located in 9 towns across 2 states!  What an amazing turn out.  We gathered a total of nearly $5000 in Prizes and chose 10 lucky winners.  It was truly awesome to see the entries come in, from folks just passing through to families that made a whole holiday tradition of it.

Thank you to everyone that joined us.

The Recipe Roundup

Another great contest we designed was the Recipe Roundup.  This ran through the summer, and was created to partner with our efforts to promote all of the local farmers markets and the Eat Local movement.  This unique contest provides a list of ingredients, and participants had to find 3 of them, take a pic and upload to collect the full recipe.   We have lots of ideas on this one, so keep your eyes peeled for a new version this year! Throughout the summer we also ran giveaways for the Lancaster, Littleton and Gorham Farmers Markets and gave away $600 in market tokens to be used at any of the participating vendors.

Website Improvements

We took some time and updated and expanded many of the pages of our site.  Have you checked out our Community Pages?  You will find page with a listing of all the local Farmers Markets complete with contact info, and links. We also have a Give Back Page that is dedicated to providing contact info and links to a huge array of community resources such as non-profits, food pantries, family assistance, recovery services and more. Another update to our website is a link to a comprehensive Community Calendar that is updated weekly with all kinds of info for local events.

Please take some time and see what we have built for our North Country Local Community!

We absolutely love being a part of the small business community here in the North Country.  All of our staff live right here, and each bring their unique talents to our New Hampshire office everyday with one goal…to make the very best designs, content and campaigns we can.  We are proud of our towns, of our neighbors, and we want to help this area continue to be the amazing place that we call home.

We want to thank everyone that has joined us in showing your support of local businesses. As we press on into the new year we are on the lookout for new places to bring into our giveaways.  Do you have a favorite spot that you think would be great to have on board? Do you own a small business and want to join us? Reach out and let us know!  he**@no***************.com
