North Country Maple Events March 2022

As our days grow longer and the temperatures are able to climb, our dear maple trees begin to awaken. One of the sweetest times of year is upon us. Maple Season in the North Country is something to truly celebrate. The sap is starting to flow, and our shacks are billowing with the sweet steam of spring. Many of our local sugar houses open the doors and welcome friends, neighbors and visitors in to enjoy this unique process.

Adair Country Inn-Maple Pre-Fixe Dinner March 19

Maple themed pre-fixe dinner on Saturday, March 19th, by advanced reservation.
Sweet and savory appetizers, entrees and desserts.
$70 per person plus alcohol, tax and gratuity.

Maple Weekend at Fuller’s Sugarhouse March 19+20, 10am-3pm

The Maple Weekend will be held at two locations:
The Sugarhouse
2021 White Mtn Hwy, Jefferson
Take in great views of New Hampshire’s mighty Presidential range on the way to the sugarhouse.Take a walking tour of the woods and learn how the sap is collected from maple trees.
Country Store – 267 Main St, Lancaster
Treat yourself to samples of the 2022 crop as you shop in the Country Store. Learn about how they make maple products in-house from 100% pure maple syrup. The Country Store also has a large selection of other locally made specialty items. Complimentary refreshments available.

Maple Tours at The Rocks:

Saturday, March 12; Saturday, March 19; Sunday, March 20; Saturday, March 26; Sunday, March 27; Saturday, April 2.
Cost: $15/adult and $12/child, payable on site.

The Lunenburg 15th Maple Festival: Saturday, March 26, 2022

The Maple Festival will be held at two locations:
The Lunenburg Primary School –
49 Bobbin Mill Road behind the Lunenburg Common
Pancake Breakfast (8-10:30), Old Home Day homemade soup & bread luncheon (12-2), and student expressions of maple through their poster contest entries and sugaring demonstration using the school evaporator.

The Gilman School Building – 2720 River Road
9am-3pm interactive and photographic displays, antique sugaring equipment, door prize drawings, quilt square contest, pie baking contest, raffles, homemade baked goodies, and maple cotton candy.
Both locations will offer directions/map to the local sugarhouses open for visitors and the opportunity to enter a free door prize drawing. The drawing will take place at the Gilman School shortly before 3 pm; winners do not need to be present.
